Become a Glastonbury Abbey Volunteer

At Glastonbury Abbey we have a large number of volunteers who contribute to the running of the abbey across all areas in a wide range of roles. Some of these roles include working on our welcome desk, on educational activities, at our events, on our collections, in our gardens, and with our wildlife.

Whilst volunteering at the abbey you not only get to learn about the abbey's history, archaeology and architecture, but you also get to be part of a large, friendly team.

What's involved?

You could be helping Glastonbury Abbey across any number of areas from our grounds team to events, learning and the welcome desk. The experiences vary and help us to continue to offer amazing customer service and visitor experiences.
